So you think Cov Cath has a bigger “chip on the shoulder” complex than Highlands going into this game? For Highlands playing them close? I can tell you for sure that losing a game has way more sting than a hiccup/scare game.

That's exactly what they will say. However, I will be the 1st to say that Highlands Offense isn't very good this year. They have the tools on Offense but the Electric isn't on.

The key to this game is the Offensive Coordinator for Highlands. If the play calling and the sets stay the same as they have been for most of the year, it will be a long night for the Birds.

 

Use the weapons you have at your disposal and scrap the one back set as it is very easy to defend.

The two back set is their best formation. I thought the OC did a pretty good job against the Colonels. Hopefully he is dialed in on them.

Play calling for the Birds has been AWFUL the past few years. I think if the field is still wet and weather is bad it helps Highlands a lot, but still picking the Colonels.

Does anyone think Huddy could be playing offense tomorrow? It would add another layer onto this game. Psychologically it would give the Birds another edge. Something no has seen the Birds do. Kid is an absolute beast.

Now that JV season is over there has to be a few other “rabbits” in that hat to pull out. With how successful they were you would think there have to a few guys that can make “a” play.

To be blunt, No. There is still a reluctance at Highlands to playing your best players "some" on both sides of the ball. He might look good in the "wildcat" formation with Buten and/or Schwalbach in the backfield don't you think? Defense would have to prepare for any and all to carry the football, but that is wishful thinking.
