With the week off the defense is going to have to improve for this team to make a legit run in the 2nd half. Especially with their game at home in 2 weeks vs. the Saints. I think the Bengal fans need to send Winston some thank you notes.
October 28, 20187 yr You said he still does better than a lot of cornerbacks in the NFL go back and look. I just don't think that there are that many that he is better than. Each of us can have an opinion. With as much as people pass in the NFL. Usually teams are always using 3 corners. So there are 32 teams. So 96 corners before injuries play on the regular. Last week before the Chiefs game they listed where each player ranked according to position. Dre was in the 30s. So close to in the top third of corners in the nfl. With that said I think he is the third best corner on the team. I do think Dennard if healthy should be the number 2, when only two corners are needed. However Dre isnt as bad as we think. A lot more corners for other teams do a lot worst. We just get to see every single snap with him. So any little mistake we see and stays with our minds more. He is frustrating as can be. Just not as bad as some get on here and say every week. We could have worst.

You wont get a disagreement from me if you say the new Defensive Coordinator is horrible. So many missed assignments in the secondary each game. Then the horrible tackling to go a long with it. The defense was suppose to be the strength to this team. This defense has regressed so much since he took over. The Bengals wont get rid of Marvin. So hopefully Marvin realizes quickly like he did with Leslie Frazier that its just not a good match.
October 28, 20187 yr Author Glad to have won when the stats were what they were: time of possession was 12 minutes in the Bucs favor they had 8 more first downs. The Bucs had 175 more total yards and 86 more passing yards. They also ran 20 more plays from scrimmage than the Bengals. The two big things that gave the Bengals the win was the Bucs 4 interceptions and they had 11 penalties for 75 yards to the Bengals 4-46 yards. It is definitely better to win this I think a loss would have been hard to recover from for the rest of the season.

October 28, 20187 yr Too much talent on that defense to have mental errors and missed tackles. Ugly win giving up almost 600 yards. Offense came out of the half with zero enthusiasm.

October 28, 20187 yr Author The Bengals are getting decimated with injuries. Now Lawson. HATE to see anybody get hurt but Lawson has done exactly nothing this year.
