Cowboys Acquire Amari Cooper

Featured Replies

Cowboys have traded a 1st round pick for Amari Cooper....That's a lot to give up for a guy who hasn't shown up in a season and a half.

Reports in Oakland say Cooper was carrying his belongings out of the locker room in a box and dropped that too.

A first round pick? Yikes. I know the Cowboys need receiver help but they can’t be happy about this.

No way Cooper is worth a first round pick. The Raiders are now looking having 3 first round picks plus an early 2nd round pick in the 2019 draft.

Yes, Dallas overpaid. But talk about a position of need. They are dreadful at WR and Cooper becomes their #1 target.

The more I think about it the dumber this trade is for the Cowboys. You just gave up a first round pick for a guy with the highest drop rate in the league and is best utilized as a slot receiver. That’s just stupid. There’s no way to cut it. That’s just the Cowboys making a move for the sake of making a move. There’s no other way around it. If you need a receiver that bad bring back Dez for goodness sake but don’t give up a first round pick for a guy the Raiders probably weren’t going to resign anyways.

Look at the Patriots deal for Josh Gordon vs. the Cowboys deal for Cooper. There is a reason the Patriots run the NFL.

Calling Jimmy Johnson. The Cowboys are in desperate need of a guy that knows what talent is.
