What point does Boyle Co. want to make, that they were better than us and didn't show it? Or the point that they just lost to us period? I can't think of another team and players and fans I respect more than Boyle Co (Highlands a close second). Boyle Co. has and will continue to be a force to deal with but to prove a point is just that. I don't think Southwestern needs anything or anyone to tell them how big this game is but letting them know they (Boyle Co.) is bringing another game than the one the apparently played last time. To all my Boyle Co. buddies I want to wish you guys well and a hard fought game. I'm pulling for SW and I'm hoping we win. It's time for our team. Boyle Co. seniors this season will end their high school career with a State Championship ring, State Championship runner up ring, runner up Regional title. Not a bad high school career at all. I'm proud of both teams and their coaching staffs. GO WARRIORS!!!

We all know that I am not and have never been in the market to defend Pardue (this year) but I really don't think that he meant any disrespect to SW at all. We all know that SW whipped our butts at the last meeting and we will have to bring a different game this time around. These kids are different than they were form the first meeting. They have gone through a lot this year and I think that they are finally feeling as if they are worthy of a good game. It's really hard to live up to the football teams of the past and I guess what has just made me madder than an old hen this year is that people have seemed to forget something -THEY ARE NOT THE TEAMS FROM THE PAST AND SHOULDN'T BE HELD TO THAT HIGH STANDARD. they are just kids trying to play the best game that can and for that they will always have a special place in my heart.

 

These two teams have always played a clean and honest game with each other and I don't see that this will change tonight. I have the greatest respect for the SW team, the SW fans and for my SW friends. I am truly sorry if this article was seen as a shot at SW but I truly don't think it was meant to be. When Pardue says that we will bring a different game, I don't think he was saying anything about the game that SW brought to the field at our last meeting and demeaning them in anyway. I think he was referring to his team and the way they have changed.

 

I hope to see LTW and Cammando there tonight. Let's pray that we have an injury free game and that each of our kids have the game of their lives!!!!

I believe it's K-93.1 FM. Great couple of guys on the mic's tonight. They aren't homers like some I listened to but they will give it to you straight. If it's for or against. They are fun to listen to as well.

RebelK, I was just trying to get this thread going a little. To me what does Boyle Co. have to prove---------------NOTHING. We are all believers in their teams and squads and staff. Nothing comes easy, we've been close a couple of times getting you guys and the teams of past are gone and new ones form. Southwestern needs to get over the one and out in playoffs and this poses the time to do so. It wasn't that the article was being disrespectful, I guess it was just the title of the story. Maybe Southwestern has something to prove to all it's nay-sayers. Beating Boyle Co. twice and moving on. i think the big factor this rematch will be Boyle's ability to control the clock. I feel that if they can win the time of possession they will win this game. SW has a great running game and they need to keep that on the sideline. If they can run it against a stellar defense then they can tire out the SW defenders. The same goes for SW against Boyle's defense.
