September 18, 20188 yr Author Just to figure the SEC West out... Alabama has Texas A&M, LSU, MSU and Auburn left LSU has Texas A&M, Auburn, Alabama, MSU and Georgia Auburn has Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU, MSU and Georgia Georgia has Auburn and LSU, which will be no easy path for them either. If anyone comes out of those unbeaten, they deserve a ticket to the playoffs...barring a stupid loss elsewhere. Everyone has 2-3 losses except for Bama who loses at LSU in a game where Tua throws 3 picks.

September 19, 20188 yr I'm the biggest Bama fan; but I've watched us enough to know that everyone needs to pump the brakes on this team. This isn't one of our better groups. The oline and linebackers are average at best right now. Bama might be the best team but I think the jury is still out on this team. After A@M will give a better insight as to how good this group is.

I can agree with this, they haven't been tested at all.
September 19, 20188 yr Guys, Alabama is crushing their (much) weaker opponents – each week scoring 50+ points. I like their odds against their remaining schedule into the playoffs.

Fortunatley for Bama their schedule is pretty cake, so they should be able to work out any “issues.”
September 19, 20188 yr Author Fortunatley for Bama their schedule is pretty cake, so they should be able to work out any “issues.” It’s not as easy as it once looked. LSU and Miss State are better than people thought they would be. Alabama is much better than both of those teams, but their schedule isn’t cake. Especially when compared to some other schools.
September 19, 20188 yr Fortunatley for Bama their schedule is pretty cake, so they should be able to work out any “issues.” This is a tired argument. Everybody plays FCS and group of 5 teams. We scheduled Louisville when Lamar was there. We can't account for Louisville being bad. Take a look at Clemsons schedule.
September 20, 20188 yr Author This is a tired argument. Everybody plays FCS and group of 5 teams. We scheduled Louisville when Lamar was there. We can't account for Louisville being bad. Take a look at Clemsons schedule. Clemsons schedule is tragically bad. Their best win going into the conference champ game will be at likely 4 loss Texas A&M. They play absolutely nobody. I actually think Clemson has to go undefeated this year to make the playoff. A 1 loss Clemson loses the resume argument to a 1 loss champ in any other conference, A one loss non SEC champ, a 1 loss non conference champ in Ohio State/Penn State, and I think they may even lose the argument to a 1 loss Notre Dame team. Their schedule is historically bad. Also not everyone plays FCS schools.
