September 16, 20188 yr 1. Alabama 2. Georgia 3. Clemson 4. Ohio State 5. Oklahoma 6. LSU 7. Stanford 8. Notre Dame 9. Auburn T10- Washington T10- Penn State 12. West Virginia 13. Virginia Tech 14. Mississippi State 15. Oklahoma State 16. UCF 17. TCU 18. Wisconsin 19. Michigan 20. Oregon 21. Miami 22. Texas A&M 23. Boston College 24. Michigan State 25. BYU The AP Top 25 Poll | NCAA College Football Seems about right to me. There is a pretty sizable gap between the top 5 and the rest of the top 25.
September 17, 20188 yr Sigh....Big Ten has no business having more than 3 teams ranked. Everyone in that conference outside of Ohio State has looked like trash this season.
September 17, 20188 yr As much as I want to see Notre Dame be a top team this year. Currently its QB play and offense isnt good enough to be considered a top 10 team. Top 25 yes, top 10 at the moment, no.

September 18, 20188 yr I don't know that Kentucky is top 25 right now but if Boston College is in there then I feel like UK should be.
September 18, 20188 yr Are you still a Michigan fan? Yep. Not sure what that has to do with the fact the B1G is complete garbage outside of Ohio State....
September 18, 20188 yr Yep. Not sure what that has to do with the fact the B1G is complete garbage outside of Ohio State.... Hot take I suppose. Calling your team trash is harsh. It sounds like Harbaugh's time is running out.
September 18, 20188 yr Author I don't know that Kentucky is top 25 right now but if Boston College is in there then I feel like UK should be. The voters liked BC more going into the season than UK.
September 18, 20188 yr Author I’d like to have some definition on the words, “trash” and “garbage”. I think we’re having some disconnect today with regards to those words. There isn’t a top 25 team that I would consider “garbage” or “trash”. There are some teams that aren’t top 25 teams IMO that are ranked. Basically I would replace the entire 21-25 except A&M with teams that’s arent ranked. I think Iowa, Colorado, Cal, and UK are better than those teams right now but there is always debate in the 20-35 range. I think the top 20 teams are all pretty solid, 6-20 are all really close IMO and the top 5 have really seperated themselves from the pack. The only teams I can see breaking into that top 5 are LSU (simply because they have Alabama and Georgia at home), Penn State, and Stanford (only if Bryce Love gets back to playing how he did last year). We’re 3 weeks into the season and I’ve eliminated my pool of potential playoff teams to 8.

Trash is another level, maybe Harbaugh’s time is up with the Michigan faithful.

There is zero excuse for a team in a P5 conference to not just completely curb-stomp the little guys every single time.

But just because you lose to a non P5 team doesn’t make you worse than that non P5 team. If that’s what you believe then you’re no better than the people who ACTUALLY think UCF deserved to be in the playoffs last year or could have kept the game within 4 scores with any of the playoff teams.

Yes, it actually does. I live in reality. I may think team A is better than team B. And maybe team A would beat team B 99 out of 100 times, but if the one time they actually play, team B wins, well logic says they're better.

I don’t view the world much less college football in such black and white lenses.
September 18, 20188 yr Just to figure the SEC West out... Alabama has Texas A&M, LSU, MSU and Auburn left LSU has Texas A&M, Auburn, Alabama, MSU and Georgia Auburn has Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU, MSU and Georgia Georgia has Auburn and LSU, which will be no easy path for them either. If anyone comes out of those unbeaten, they deserve a ticket to the playoffs...barring a stupid loss elsewhere.
