September 16, 20188 yr Author Yup. Jury is still out on Georgia IMO, I admit I haven't watched them much. But the Wisconsin loss probably excited Georgia fans. They've gotta be thinking repeat with 2 SEC schools. Funny thing about that is you wonder how Saban would play a game against Georgia in a conference final with the possibility of two teams making the playoffs. I bet he doesn't blow them out..... Georgia looked really good against South Carolina last week. Regardless, the SEC has an early upper hand on getting two teams in. I still believe that Georgia is clearly the best in the east, which substantially hurts them if they lose to someone that they shouldn’t. I can’t imagine Georgia losing to anyone in the east.

September 16, 20188 yr Author I have hard time believing Saban really cares if UGA gets in or not. He shouldn’t because they are well above them and everyone else at this point and I don’t look for it to change.
September 16, 20188 yr He shouldn’t because they are well above them and everyone else at this point and I don’t look for it to change. To say Georgia is way above Alabama at this point is ludicrous, with Tua at the helm Alabama has something they haven't had since McCarron....a passing game.
September 16, 20188 yr By the way, bad day for the Big 10, Rutgers gets routed by Kansas, Maryland takes it on the chin to a lesser opponent, Nebraska gets beat again, Wisconsin goes down to unranked BYU....

Agreed and agree. I'd love to see UK give them a game but Georgia is legit top 5 team that should fully take advantage of the SEC east being in the SEC. It is what it is.

He shouldn’t because they are well above them and everyone else at this point and I don’t look for it to change. I agree. But if it means getting a team in that you know you can best then why not. Only hard part is I do think Alabama would have to truly let it stay close, against most teams.
September 16, 20188 yr By the way, bad day for the Big 10, Rutgers gets routed by Kansas, Maryland takes it on the chin to a lesser opponent, Nebraska gets beat again, Wisconsin goes down to unranked BYU.... And yes Big10 is taking a licking today. But that's for another thread. Very much dependent on how this TCU vs tOSU game plays out.
September 17, 20188 yr I don't think you have to worry about Ohio State fans trying to pump up the Big 10. That's not really our shtick. We all know if Ohio State takes care of business they have nothing to worry about with regards to the playoff. Same with Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma. Clemson has one ranked team on their schedule this year and that's Boston College who just jumped in the rankings this week. (A&M is ranked now, but they weren't when they played and they have Bama this week so they won't be ranked after this week either). You think Clemson cares about how bad the ACC is? No. Do you think Bama fans cared about how weak their schedule looked before the season started? No. Likewise, Ohio State fans don't care about the strength of the Big 10. We're selfish by nature. Ohio State is the Big 10 and the Big 10 is Ohio State.

With that said, definitely a shock to see Wisconsin lose. However at least it won't be like last year, where Wisconsin almost found their way into the playoff by beating absolutely nobody all year.

September 17, 20188 yr Nothing I have ever said contradicts that statement. Ok. It sure seems like you are doing your best to pump up some big 10 teams in another thread going on currently. Which would mean it does contradict what you said. Especially when every year you all seem to try to talk up some other big 10 teams. To make it look more impressive if OSU wins the big 10, when people start questioning if OSU should make the playoffs or not. With all that said. I am still shocked Wisconsin lost. I fully expect for OSU to walk to the playoffs as long as they get past Michigan again. Edited September 17, 20188 yr by futurecoach
