Wow!

I'm not sure what to say about this one. Very unexpected.

Whoa....?

Always good to see my fav team win, even if they beat another team I root for.

Is the surprise because of the margin of victory? This was probably a pick'em game wasn't it?

Mostly because of the margin, but I thought GC would win by 2-3 scores.

 

Greenup was humming right along offensively before Raceland worked them over last week. There might have been some hangover from that game. Greenup's QB, and the offense in general, struggled to get anything going. On paper, the Musketeers shouldn't have struggled against such a one dimensional team. They didn't last year.

 

A worrisome takeaway for Greenup... Lawrence County ran for 500 yards. Raceland went for 300+ on the ground last week. And even a Russell team that's struggled to consistently run the ball with any authority this year still put up over 200 rushing yards on the Musketeers. They seem soft between the tackles on defense. With Johnson Central, Ashland, and perhaps even a physical, run first Rowan County team still to come, Greenup needs to shore up their run defense.
