Who had Scott County favored? I get them beating Moeller, but Lasalle is on another level right now.

This loss cannot be excused away. It should have been a close to the end game. I would like to hear what happened. Were there a lot of turnovers by Scott County? What led to this margin?

I completely agree with you that if SC wants to claim they are better than Male and Trinity, they don’t get blown out like this by Lasalle. I don’t, however, think Male and Trinity can play with “anyone in the country.” Male and Trinity aren’t playing with the Bishop Gorman’s of the world, IMO. I definitely believe there are steps above where Male and Trinity can play.

I think that allows Scott Co. to claim that they are better than Trinity this year considering that Trinity doesn't have any wins to dispute with. As far as Male is concerned, I think this margin solidifies Males claim to #1 in 6A.

This is what people underestimate in Kentucky. The depth of good teams in Ohio is amazing.

 

If Scott County was in the GCL they would be 1 and 1 with games left against Elder (OH) and St. Xavier (OH) and a bunch of other tough games on their schedule. Or put another way, if Scott County was playing big school football in Ohio about 3 and 7 and not even a sniff of the postseason sounds right. But in Kentucky the Cards have a legitimate title shot.

 

With all that said, great job Scott County scheduling up like this.

True, but that Trinity game versus Moeller was close and was only half over. My main point in my posts is this score is a really bad result for Scott County and a top tier program does not let this happen against a team that they are on the same level with.

This just in- Scott County and La Salle will be playing Thursday night due to St. Andrews (FL) having to play Georgetown College at Toyota Stadium Friday night because of an incoming hurricane.

St. Andrews is from NC just outside of Charlotte. Just a geography correction that makes the change even clearer.
