Fulton County Pilots

Featured Replies

This team has only won 12 games combined in the last 11 seasons from 2007-2017.

They sit at 2-0 this year for the first time since 2006. While their next 3 games vs Tennessee opponents will be tough, basically all 50/50 games, it would be a great story to see them start 5-0.

Good luck Pilots!

Their schedule isn't the best by any means. It would be difficult for them to advance in the playoffs. It would be a shame to have a good season only to bug out in the first round.

It would be very difficult for them to advance. Considering they averaged only a win per year during that stretch though, I'd say they would be very happy with 3-5 wins if they can get there.

I really doubt that if they won 7+ games, and then got housed in the 1st round of the playoffs, that there would be that much of a let down. Considering they haven't had a winning record in 12 years, I doubt that many people around the program are expecting some Black Friday football.

Edit: Honestly, if they won 5 games, everybody around the program should be over the moon.

I totally agree.

There is way too much made about scheduling, contenders/pretenders, etc on here and just in general. I get it- it makes for good chatter and for the time to go by, but the fact is that by in large the same teams that have always been in the mix will almost always be in the mix.

There are plenty of schools out there where 6-5 to occasionally playing in a region title are the best they’ve ever done, and unless the stars align just perfect that’s the best they are ever going to do.

And, that’s ok.

Pilots go to 3-0 with a 38-37 win over Stewart County TN tonight. With Russellville being down this year, Fulton County may have a shot at the 2 seed and a home playoff game.

That would be great! I'm happy for those kids and that program.

Pilots started out 4-0 and finish the regular season 5-5 after a tough overtime loss to Ballard Memorial. Pilots have the 3 seed in 1A District 1 and travel to Bardstown to face Bethlehem next week in the first round.

I think they have a chance to win that playoff game. When was the last time Fulton County won a playoff game?

According to the KHSAA website, Fulton County’s last playoff win was on November 6, 1998, 26-14 at home over Todd County Central in the first round.
