October 30, 200619 yr With the way the Bengals D is playing, Oakland may put 24 up on Cincy. Very true and the way the Bengal line is blocking, Sapp may even get another sack this season!!!
October 30, 200619 yr Author "That might pale, though, in comparison to what transpired in Oakland, where Roethlisberger completed almost as many passes to guys in silver-and-black uniforms as did his Raiders counterpart, second-year veteran Andrew Walter. That's right, Walter completed five, count 'em, five passes. The Oakland offense managed nine first downs, 98 yards and 2.0 yards per snap. And yet the Raiders prevailed 20-13 because of a 24-yard interception return for a touchdown by Nnamdi Asomugha and a 100-yard pickoff return for a score by Chris Carr." espn.com
October 31, 200619 yr Wow , I can't believe this. I am not sure how to react to this. Do I laugh, cry or what. So this is what it feels like to be a bengals fan. Well, at least the bengals lost.
October 31, 200619 yr Now that I'm out of the proverbial jail, I will say,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,we stink. I will also say that no one fears the North like the media, and many of us here(including moi) thought they should. With the Steelers reaking, the Bengirls off one week, on the other, and the Ravens the weakest division leader since the St. Louis Cardinals, the North stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We lost to the flippin' Raiders. Ben completes nearly as many to the Raiders as the Raiders complete to the Raiders. And that's not even the half of my grief about my Steelers. 1. WHY do we still have Duce Staley? He is the NFL's version of the artist,,,,,he stands on the sidelines for 2 years and draws!a check 2. Please, can anyone tell me if Willie Parkers left arm works. He cannot, will not, and has not all season or the previous one for that matter carried the ball in any arm but his right. Did he play Pop Warner? 3. Max Starks forgot that he's supposed to block the guy that is standing on his outside shoulder like a track star bent on your qb as the finish line. 4. Do we have a special teams coach? Or do we just say "You guys run down there and roll over"? Heck, why not kick it OB so as not to have to fool with tackling the guy at the 40, save the effort and clock! 5. Are we gonna have the same head coach next season? This type of season either has to break you down and want to surrender, or tick you off and vow to right the ship and return.
October 31, 200619 yr 5. Are we gonna have the same head coach next season? If the Jaw wants to return, he'll be back. However, I'm guessing he's out after this season.
October 31, 200619 yr If the Jaw wants to return, he'll be back. However, I'm guessing he's out after this season. I'd guess if this continues that you're wrong. I doubt he'd want to go out like that. For Steelernation, if you want to keep your head coach, this may have been the best way. A trip to the playoffs and an exit whenever would have been a more appropriate departure IMO. Who's to say that they won't win out though!
November 1, 200619 yr Big Ben is the most over rated player in the NFL Over rated than whom!!!!! How over rated can a SuperBowl winning QB be? Loss a couple of great players last season and their struggling this season. He'll be in the league for several more years. What QB would you pick as not over-rated? Let's see how he pans out!!!

Stop acting like he was a factor. Granted he's better than what they had at QB, but there are at least 10 better QB's in the league and that number would probably be 15 better had he not won a SB.

If you consider if we had a QB his caliber (whatever you want to rank it) think of the possibilities during the Maddox years, or what's worse, the Kordell years, with those defenses and that running game, who knows what might have happened!

Last year Ben didn't have a good year because he was good, he had a good year by not being bad. He made decent decisions and never forced anything. With injuries, retirements, FA, and lackluster play, the Steelers have been bad which has forced Ben to throw more and make more plays. He won't last long in this league if he isn't surrounded by talent.

November 1, 200619 yr I'm not a hater but your driving me to it. Your boy, Carson has led your team for one season and it was a good season in ten but his first and second in the league. Your TEAM made it to the playoffs and didn't win a game even though you hosted the playoff game. Now if you want to keep this up we will but I see no reason to keep knocking our guy around unless you just want to give us Steeler fans a rub. Here's a rub for you, some of your guys were blamming Trent Green's hit by your players on his offensive line not blocking couldn't the same be said about the hit your boy took in the playoffs last season? Just repeating some Bengal fans words!!

Its funny how you Steeler fans always bring up the fact that we lost in the first round of the playoffs...Because I think you all would no better than anyone now how hard it is to win without you starting QB or with your starting QB being hurt....
