November 2, 200619 yr Author Over rated than whom!!!!! How over rated can a SuperBowl winning QB be? Loss a couple of great players last season and their struggling this season. He'll be in the league for several more years. What QB would you pick as not over-rated? Let's see how he pans out!!!   !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 2, 200619 yr Author He was the 22nd best starter on last year's SB team. Stop acting like he was a factor. Granted he's better than what they had at QB, but there are at least 10 better QB's in the league and that number would probably be 15 better had he not won a SB. :ylsuper: For the record, I do think Ben is a good QB
November 2, 200619 yr Its funny how you Steeler fans always bring up the fact that we lost in the first round of the playoffs...Because I think you all would no better than anyone now how hard it is to win without you starting QB or with your starting QB being hurt.... The reason we bring it up is because it's the one positive we can think of your team has done in the last ten years. You made the playoffs in a tough division and now you want us to feel like your the next Patriots team. I'm glad the Bengals are doing well it's been tough to watch them be a auto-win for a bunch of teams. It use to be like a home game when the Steelers showed up in Cincy. Most of the time it was your only sell-out game. If you don't like the Steelers that fine with me don't start with the " Ben is over-rated" crap. It's just not true. All QB struggle with-out a running game. Ben has had his far share of things go wrong this season, let up. Even if we miss the playoffs I don't care I'm still a fan. The hole we're in now it'll be tough to make it but not impossible. They'll do better next season I'm sure.

I don't think the Bengals are even close to being the next Patriots. It's also not related to Ben being over-rated. The sports talk shows aren't talking about Ben sitting because he's been playing good.

November 2, 200619 yr That's never been said. I don't think the Bengals are even close to being the next Patriots. It's also not related to Ben being over-rated. The sports talk shows aren't talking about Ben sitting because he's been playing good. C'mon, it's "playing well", you're a teacher for cryin' out loud! I hate to agree with you, but really, IMO Ben will be fine. He's made more poor decisions this season out of necessity. You can say what you like, but everyone knows that the Steelers go as the running game goes. IMO, the right-handed only(that's another issue) Willie Parker can't get it done. And we're financially married to him as well. Some say the OL is worse, and to some degree that may be true. But the personnel is healthy and the same as last season when we were the "best" OL in football as estimated by some. I think that a change at RB would do as much good as anything. Charlie would have the same issues as Ben if you start him the rest of the way. Can't run with authority. 8 guys in the box. 1 WR whose worth his salt. What can you do?
November 2, 200619 yr :thumb: I agree with that 100%. Last year Ben didn't have a good year because he was good, he had a good year by not being bad. He made decent decisions and never forced anything. With injuries, retirements, FA, and lackluster play, the Steelers have been bad which has forced Ben to throw more and make more plays. He won't last long in this league if he isn't surrounded by talent. I agree.:thumb:
