If Florida wins out, including the SEC, they will more than likely play for the National Title.

After today's rankings Florida's SOS and PC rankings won't look to improve one bit. The BCS does not factor in a second game played against an opponent, for or against SOS......I think that this USC loss absolutely gave a boost to Ul or WVU, and a shot in the arm to Cal and ND.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the "Louisville-West Virginia-Rutgers" triangle all beat themselves, costing the whole conference chance at the national championship.

 

For instance:

 

Louisville beats West Virginia

Rutgers beats Louisville

West Virginia beats Rutgers

 

Now they are all three beat, none can play in the championship game, and only one wins the BCS berth. The Gator Bowl gets second pick from the Big East. Unless Louisville won the conference tiebreaker, they would very likely be playing in the HOUSTON BOWL! Reasoning: The Gator Bowl had Louisville last year and they would want a new school this year. West Virginia has a very explosive offense and Rutgers has a strong south Florida fan base. Louisville may get locked out of the big bowls this year.

 

One, that's alot of If's...two, U of L travels awesome, and showed very welll in the Gator Bowl last year...I still maintain that U of L is in control of its own destiny.

I know it's pre-BCS, but watch the BCS points come Monday and note where USC lands point wise. The point difference between the top 3 teams and the rest are huge. OSU has such a lead, that if they lose to UM, they could have enought points to hold on to the #1 slot.

One thing that a lot of you "big lead" thinkers have to realize that once you lose that lead gets imploded. I kjnow they are up by .2 and change...but if they get beat at home....they are certainly dropping behind an undefeated Ul or WVU....mainly because the Big East's undefeated team (if it still exists) will then have a respectable strength of schedule, and at least two wins vs the Top 20 maybe 3 wins, in UL's scenario....Things look good now, and this Thursday's game, just got much, much bigger.

There isn't a realistic scenario where the NCAA will allow Louisville to play for the National title. Someone said it earlier and hit the nail on the head when they said the Big East would get shut out and not be a fan of the BCS. Of course, it would be an outright hoot if Rutgers beats both Louisville and West Virginia and gets the Big East BCS bid for a national title game. Las Vegas would be up in arms over that one that no one saw coming.

^ U of L certainly still has a lot of work to do...but you will find the voters making sure to have two undefeateds playing....I have hated the BCS since it's inception....regardless of whether or not the Big East winner gets screwed by the system, my feelings won't change.

It is to put the two best teams in the NC game, undefeated or not. That's why I believe Big East fans will be very ticked off when it comes time for the NC.

I don't, and that's because human's still account for 2/3's of the equation, and when there are only two legitimate undefeated teams remaining, I think that you will see them in the championship game.

I just watched the replay of the game and he had a awesome game. How good was that catch on the final drive on 4th and 2 with the game on the line.
