BluegrassPreps Class 6A Rankings - Discussion (8/20)

Featured Replies

The problem is it is so early, but Campbell Co not being in and SK being mid pack doesnt make sense (even though both won last week.)

1. Trinity

2. Scott County

3. Male

4. Frederick Douglass

5. Butler

6. St. Xavier

7. Campbell County

8. Simon Kenton

9. Central Hardin

10. Manual

I was pretty impressed with the Central Hardin squad on Saturday. They had good offensive and defensive lines. And I think they are about the right spot.

Is Daviess County in the Top 15?

Thank you.

Kickoff is set for 6pm

I think Daviess County could slip into the top 10 at some point in the season, IMO

What are you basing your Campbell County ranking on? 13 6A schools won last week. Why are they not all in the Top 10 in your rankings?

Campbell County may deserve Top 10 and they certainly might get there. But looking at the facts right now, last week they beat a lower class team that went 3-8 last year. Speaking of records, they only went 7-5 themselves. I’m not seeing what puts them over some of the other 6A unranked teams that won last week.

Campbell County is better than Simon Kenton and the best 6A team in NKY. We will find out this week if BGP has swung and missed on the 6A rankings after Campbell County plays Highlands.

What are we going to gauge their success on? Do they have to beat Highlands? Play well against Highlands?

Overrated Louisville schools. :lol2:

All I can say to that ridiculous claim is:

Everyone knew that was the case. Some just like to throw stuff against the wall and hope it sticks.

After watching 6A McCracken County get drilled by crosstown rival 3A Paducah Tilghman this season will have few bright spots. McCracken County in my opinion could very well end up going 2-8 this season. They have a tough schedule ahead of them & will be 0-6 before they can even fathom a win. Not taking anything away from PT but McCracken made them look better than they actually are. I see them going 6-4. All they have are athletes & that alone makes them competitive against some less than par teams.

Most definitely.
