They probably figure 5 year olds aren't built like 6 year olds, but thats not always the case... I get what you're saying and I completely understand that line of thinking, rules are rules. However some kids are more advanced than others. After isn't always the best giage when deciding whether someone is ready to try something new. Car seats for kids come to mind. It's not just an age thing but also a height and weight thing. Weird analogy I know.

 

I know what you mean but those rules are just rules. Parents and unethical coaches don't have the right to break the rules that are put in place for children's safety.

I'm just saying that I'm surprised they admitted to lying about his age and name to get him into a league illegally. As someone who has been around a youth sports for many years, I'm not a fan of that type of decision-making.

Do his youth league records get an asterisk by them now or something? The Youth League Hall of Fame voters will hold it against him when he is eligible, won’t they?
