Brantley is the third announcer...

Featured Replies

I like Brantley as an announcer.

Anyone. Literally. Even Tracy would have been better IMHO. Joe Oliver would have been fine. Mercker would have been great too. Literally, anyone.

Well I would've taken the job. ;)

I'd take Tracy in a hearbeat over this jackball.

I'd take Browning. I'd almost take Gametime.

Browning wouldn't show up on a regular basis.

I'm a little conused - what's wrong with Brantley?

They might as well hire Bill Curry, Edgar Martinez, or the woman that does football games on ESPN2.

I'm done listening to the Reds on Radio. Finito. When I mentioned in July on here that Steve wouldn't be back I knew an ex-player would be in the booth...just NEVER wanted it to be THIS ex-player.

You were willing to give him a chance a couple of months ago. Why the change in attitude?

Jeff Brantley

If he can somehow keep his REAL personality and attitude out of the booth, than let's roll the dice. However, I'm fairly sure that wouldn't happen.

"...don't you know who I am?"

I like Brantley on Baseball tonight... very insightful and has an announcer's voice. I am only wondering how he has gained so much weight since leaving baseball. Mix in a salad with all of those filet mignon's you are feasting on bro...
