October 24, 200619 yr Author It doesn't seem like Dallas has that many good players. I believe the same can be said about Washington. The Giants probably have the best team, but they're going to be beat down by the tough schedule. Because of their struggles last season, Philadelphia has a much more managable slate this year, and I think they'll follow that to a division title. The Giants came out of a very tough 6 game stretch at 4-2. They won @ Philly, @ Dallas, vs Washington, and @ Atlanta. They lost @ Seattle and vs Indianapolis. They (IMO) have proven they can play well against good teams.
October 24, 200619 yr You do realize that only two games are scheduled based on where you finished last year, right???In a 16 game season, 2 games are huge. It could be the difference in being 10-6 and in the playoffs or 8-8 and out. 9-7 probably keeps a coach employed while 7-9 may not.
October 24, 200619 yr The Cowboys are terrible and won't get any better as long as Jerry Jones stays in the middle of everything.I know he is the owner but If he wants to coach then why hire one.Him standing on the sideline with the players during the game doesn't help them.I don't like the cowboys but he will have them like al davis and the raiders before long.

And it could turn out that you face a team that's improved over their finish last year. Or you could get a division winner in a slump. Far too many variables for those two games to mean much...
October 25, 200619 yr It's just funny. Talk about the team that quite possibily will not even make the playoffs, over the team in the best position to win the division. Welcome back to reality.

October 25, 200619 yr They won't win the division this year with Coughlin as coach. Who won the division last season?
October 25, 200619 yr Author They won't win the division this year with Coughlin as coach. They are only 3-0 in the division right now with 2 wins coming @ Philly and @ Dallas. They're in the best position to win the division, like it or not. They have a tough schedule with jacksonville, Chicago, Tampa, Philly, Washington and Dallas still left to play...but all of those games are winnable. Even the Chicago game...
October 25, 200619 yr Author Who won the division last season? I believe that would be the New York Football Giants.
