April 7, 20188 yr I’ll also add that the tone of this article is disturbing. It’s interesting to see the play on words in the written form being used to put forth a nationalist agenda. Does anyone else see it?

Does anyone else see it? Not to mention that the comparison to New York is a completely arbitrary statistic when trying to evaluate how “dangerous” a city is. Is New York the world standard? Why use New York? Why not Rio, Moscow, or some other large city. It’s interesting to note that neither New York or London tank in the top 50 most dangerous cities in the world. I understand the two cities are similar in size, but both are relatively safe in the grand scheme of things. In addition, the article is selectively picking and choosing stats to push an agenda. Two months, statistically don’t prove anything, and according to what I’ve seen in other sources (again a google search yields a lot on the subject), New York’s murder rate is still roughly double London’s, and you only have to go back to January to find a month where New York had a higher murder rate.

Surely not...isn't this trusted reputable source well known for being fair and unbiased, far and above lowering themselves to pushing an agenda?

I'd say probably because of the fact they have been compared to each other for many years in many ways, this is just as another comparison.
April 7, 20188 yr Are we 100% sure that all of these crimes are being committed by immigrants or is it just speculation from the both of you? Read articles and seen news reports on the topic recently. London is having a huge issue with immigrants from very different cultures just not assimilating into the society and having a big issue with crime overall.

I need to hit the Google machine up.
April 8, 20188 yr I've not seen the numbers, but I bet Brasilia has them all beat. Rio too. Heck, probably Moscow these days given how wild east it is.

April 8, 20188 yr Shoot, NY isn't anywhere near the top of US cities, let alone the world. Columbus and Nashville both have murder rates 5 times NY. New York is safe as hell compared to what it used to be, and especially compared to other MAJOR MAJOR metropolitan cities across the world.
