He's certainly tearing it up right now. On Buster Olney's podcast they said that they still don't expect him to hit for a very high average initially but as he matures he should improve--as long as they continue to let him hit. With him just being 23 he's still 3-4 years from his prime as a hitter.

He hit a bases loaded triple yesterday and made it to 3rd in 11.9 seconds. He's been timed as fast as Trout from home to first. Of course, he's a lefty so he's a step closer but he's still very fast.

The Red Sox got to him early tonight. Mookie Betts led off the game for a homer and they touched him up for 3 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks in 2 innings. Ohtani left after 2 with what the PA announcer said was a blister.
