The Official Bardstown (9-0) v. Bethlehem (9-0) Thread

Featured Replies

Very safe to predict Bardstown. They are clearly the favorite and should win the game based on school size and football tradition. Bethlehem comes in however with no pressure as no one expects them to win. The difference maker will be Kaelin Williams. Kaelin is a transfer from Nelson Co where he had ongoing discipline problems etc. Since transferring over he has became a model student and division 1 prospect. He is overshadowed by Jackson but is the better athlete. He is 6'1" weighs 220 and is faster than Jackson or Stanley either one. He started his first game at fullback against Green Co. and was a man. He will allow Bethlehem to play more of a ground contol game than usual. Additionally Bethlehem's special teams are excellent. They will not be fooled by Bardstown's trickery nor outran by their speed. Bethlehem's short coming will be there ability to throw the ball; however they have thrown it when needed. (ask Marion Co., and Holy Cross)

If he's 220 so am I!

He is every bit of 220, and looks it when you see him with his pads off. I agree with cometscoach, Bardstown has never had trouble with Jackson. If there is a someone who can cause problems for Bardstown, it will be Williams.

I question that weight too. If hes 220, thats alot of muscle because hes not fat.

Do you guys no the player I am referring too? He has not had much exposure because he is new to the team and especially the offense. I have not had him on a set of scales but 220 is a conservative estimate. His legs are huge.

I know him and Mr. No Name knows him. No Name may not have seen him for a while. He was not this big at County.

I had forgotten that this game is between the only two unbeaten teams in Class A, and are two of only seven in the whole state. I don't care what your schedule is like, that's not easy to do.

Should be a dandy-gotta get down that way on Friday! Tickets available on ticketmaster or EBay??? :)

Dont know if the game is that big. :thumb:

GO BETHLEHEM!

I honestly think the Tigers will win this one going away, but I would love nothing more than to see Bethlehem knock off Bardstown in this one just for the shear value the victory would mean to the Eagle's program.

Hope I am wrong..

Will another #1 be knocked off it's throne?

Go Catholics! 21-20 Bethlahem.

I'm curious...is there any other venue in which this could be played? Obviously Papa John's is not an option for a number of reasons, but is there a small college around that could hold more than 3,000?

I couldn't imagine more than 300 spectators for this inevitable whoopin'. I know Bethlehem is trying to make a name for itself as a serious contender, but I don't think it happens. Reality check for Beth. :scared:

This one sounds like fun- wish I could see it.

That is crazy EasyPro. You obviously do not know the fans in Bardstown. Many of this group of Eagles played against these Bardstown players in the 6th grade Pumpkin Bowl and there were close to 1000 fans for that. Bethlehem will not need to beat Bardstown to make a name for itself. The fact that a school with 135 boys will play St. X in the sweet 16 tonight in soccer, won the A championship, had the best district record in baseball, and is currently 9-0 in football speaks volumes about the kind of athletics in the school.
