I think Williams and Phillips were going to get the ball a lot anyway, but the wet field would seemingly make it more so. Regardless of rain, the more important question will be how the Eagle defense lines up against Graves.

Kent Simpson, Bethlehem's other fullback, will line up at tight end. It does give them a nice blocker to that side, but they won't throw it at him that much. He was lined up that way in the newspaper this morning.

I am lost; which coach is leaving after this year????

Bethlehem's coach Steve Hart is leaving

Steve Hart is retiring. There are only rumors and innuendo about Joey Downs at this point.

Rumors like...........Coach Downs may be moving on?? I am sure that he has had some lucrative offers or had his eye on other prominent jobs across the state. What is the scuttlebutt??????

Wouldnt Bardstown be a prominent job?

That is unless, X, T or Male,ect... wanted him but I dont think thats the case.

Okay, its prediction time.

It appears as if its going to rain here on Friday which IMO helps the Eagles.

My turn to prognosticate,Tigers 34 Eagles 14

It sounds like the Tigers have yet to play their best game, and have handily beat every challenger. I wonder if we'll see the Tigers running on all cylinders this week? I pity the team who plays them when it's all working right. Talent is there, training is there, when the focus is there- WOW! When I read how bad they played against KCD (with a couple of exceptions) I expected to see the score would be close- but 52-15? I'm coming to see this one- and if the Tigers play their A game- it should be a blowout! JMHO.

I'd like to add- give Bethlehem their due- 9-0 is no fluke! They are a small(numbers) team with a lot of heart and obviously good coaching. Lack of depth could make it hard to sustain their intensity for the whole game, but I look for them to start strong, trying to score often early on the game. I expect trick plays and aggressive offense right off from the very beginning of the game. You can probably throw out the game films if you're looking to see what they'll be running to start this game off. They have nothing to lose- I predict they'll take some chances.

Rumors that he will retire. When is unknown, they are just rumors. I wouldn't think he would be interested in moving on. He is the principal at the new Primary School.

I don't think so. I think the Bethlehem coaching staff realizes there is life beyond this game and the potential for a rematch. They will want to keep Graves and the Tiger offense off of the field.

I disagree. I believe the rain favors the Tigers. Bethlehem is a more one-dimensional offense. The wet field was a problem for Bethlehem at Green Co. Bardstown can throw if they need to. I think the wet field limits the Eagles more, and they were already going to be somewhat limited.

I don't think the rain favors anyone. I just believe it will be more crippling for Bethlehem. Everyone knows that the run game (particularly smash mouth) has less to fear during a rainy game. You would think Bethlehem would have the advantage. But being one dimensional gives the tigers a lot less to anticipate. The Eagles don't throw it around alot and especially not a wet ball. I don't think Btown will pass that much either....they don't have to. If they do through the ball, it'd be wise to throw screens and hitches, etc. and let athletes make plays on the corner. JMO-
