Joey does have a great record. I remember getting his 100th win against Western. We literally knocked the lights out that night.

Does Bethlehem still sit the away team in front of their bleachers? I remember they did that when they first started their program.

No, the Eagles are in front of their own bleachers now.

Get there VERY early. There are almost no stands, and very little room with good viewing around the field. Bring a chair. At the Holy Cross game, Bethlehem faithful were putting up signs that said "Bethlehem Fans Only" in an effort to keep the HC folks out of the seats. Not sure you can do that, but whatever. It'll make it all interesting.

I was at the field today. They are bringing bleachers in from everywhere. By my count they should be able to sit between 1500-1750 people. They have put several sets on the visitor side of the field and will be encouraging Bardstown fans to sit behind their bench and support their team. They will additionally be bringing in some port-a-cans for the visitor sideline. There is alot of standing room behind the end zone fence on the practice field side of the field. Parking will be the biggest issue but the boosters are well prepared. Advanced tickets are being sold at both high schools.

Bardstown in a close one.

Confirmed. 24 additional sets of bleachers donated from the rec center, Foster Heights, and the Fairgrounds. Also a second concession stand.

You gotta give it to these Bethlehem people, they can deliver the goods when their backs are against the wall.

This one will be a doozy...It's almost worth the drive to B-town to see it...Im gonna say the Dogs win in a close one...

I've only seen this years Eagles twice, and don't think I saw them throw to the tight end once. I understand they have a new one. Decoy, maybe but i doubt it. I think their new tight end will make a very good target as well as a strong side blocker. These Eagles may only need one block to break off a big chunk. HEADS UP TIGERS!! Boy I can't wait!!!

I predict Bethlehem with throw 8-12 times on Friday night unless the weather prevents it. Speaking of weather. Who benefits if the rain and wind shows up as predicted.

I would think if the field got a little sloppy it would benefit the little guy who is fleet of foot. Your thoughts?

I think a wet field always plays in the favor of the underdog. Weather is the great equalizer in a football game. Case in point last week in the Bethlehem vs Green game. The mud was ankle deep and it limited much of both teams offense. Since Bethlehems offense was better then they lost more. I believe on a dry field they beat Green handily. If the field is wet expect Kailen Williams and Rashaun Phillips to play a big role. Wet fields favor straight ahead runners. IMO Bethlehem should as Father Bill Hammer to pray for rain.

Before the field is completely trashed, I think a lighter ball player stays on top and can cut easier than the big guy. Misdirection(tricks) can be used to great advantage on a sloppy field, the Tiger arsenal is huge. If you can get the right defender going the wrong way look out.

I'm getting away from the most fundamental aspect of the game. If the Tigers keep the turnovers to 2 or 3 it's over. If the Eagles lose the turn over battle they lose the game. It all comes down to taking care of the ball. Garnis would always have a strong defense and wait for you to make a mistake in your own territory. He always had one series of plays that would make you pay for that mistake. This years Tigers are almost 3 points per game ahead of the 2001 team in defense. And that was the most impressive defense I have ever seen in my days in Nelson County. A very overachieving team in '81 may have turned the ball over 3 times in their final 5 games. That is what makes the difference.
