NCC 48 Bellevue 0

Way to go Breds. :thumb:

Very well officiated game by taking control of the contest from the beginning and not putting up with anything. Other crews could take a lesson from this one.

Have the Tigers packed it in or what?

Kids still played hard. They just cannot throw the ball and were faced with 3 and long often because they could not run it either.

One thing is they did get a few delay of games and had to use timeouts at other times because of missing players.

Quite honestly I would expect a loss to Dayton and I would not be surprised to see a shake-up in the program one way or the other after this season.

Impesssive win by NCC. NCC is always a tough opponent. Great program with a proud Tradition. Always a class act when we have played them.

Why would there be a shake-up? If your referring to a coaching change..what has Eckstien and his staff done to deserve a shakeup and quick exit? He had a fabulous record with a great group of Seniors last year. You cant run the table every year. I question some of the lopsided scores this year, no doubt. Those have to be making the Tiger faithful sick to their stomach's but come on. These kids have seen too many coaching changes int he past 4 years...

Please give me a break. Eckstein and Niederman are two of the best coaches in this area. At most Class A schools, the talent comes in waves and down years are to be expected. This year's team has a ton of undrclassmen and inexperience after last season's senior dominated team. This isn't a Highlands, nor does the district attract talent like other programs do (Nothing illegal meant or even insinuated here!!) Bellevue must relay basically on home-grown talent and that will always be inconsistent due to size. Eck and company will be back.

Rumblings in Bellevue is that there will be changes either one way or the other. That could mean coaching changes on the staff or coaches leaving for other opportunities. That isn't all that uncommon at any small Class A school and given all the changes that Bellevue football and basketball have undergone in recent years is not that unthinkable.

It doesnt help when you have a ton of crappy attitudes on the team. This is also from a reliable source. I had a feeling something was up when I noticed the lopsided scores. The coaches dont give up 56 and 48 pts.... the players do.

I agree with you 100 percent! Coaches can only coach and attempt to install character in their teams but if a team has no character or even values then how is the coaching staff responsible for their losses.

Actually the recent scores could have been a lot worse if not for the other teams playing everybody and running clocks.

That said, I do not believe the coaching staff or the kids have quit trying. From what I observed the coaches still coached every kid as if the game were close, and the players still tried to make plays. There was no rancor between the staff and team or among teammates.

There is a lot more to every program than Wins and Losses and X's and O's. There is a mindset, a time commitment, instructor/student dynamic, etc. Sometimes maybe changing things or moving on to something else would be a positive thing for all involved.

I have heard some of the same things, so I wouldn't be surprised that we might see Coach Eckstein make a move again. Especially with a couple of jobs opening up at the end of the season...

Just like at every other level, as soon as a coach is not having a stellar year, all of a sudden, there are "rumbling in Bellevue that changes will be made", I know for a fact that as of right now the same staff will be coming back to Bellevue and I don't see any chances happening.

Lets get it back to the game.If you want to start a new thread about coaching changes please do so.Thanks :thumb:
