Davis has a very poor history of doing this. Shame on him. Either talk about the politics of him or his opposition or nothing at all. Finnan is fair game because he plead guilty? Davis did it to his primary opponent a few years ago to a guy named Murphy. Davis attacked one of the large supporters of Murphy which was the Griffin family of Griffin Industries. For those of us who are from the Pendleton area know all too well how helpful and generous the family has been. The dad was a multimillionare and kept score for the Pendleton teams! Yet, Davis was and is a jerk to bring these people into the debate by naming them in his ads. This is specifically why this hard Republican will never vote for Davis.

I don't hold it against Lucas for writing the letter. Loyalty is commendable. But I would say that being convicted of bank fraud to the tune of millions of dollars would make you fair game for criticism so I also don't hold it against Davis for pointing out that Lucas advocated leinency to a major player in the largest fraud in NKY history.

Well, somebody is voting for him. I don't vote for him based on his stance on other issues. The fact that he is (reportedly) gay is immaterial to me. Oddly, he is an advocate of "Family Values" and without a doubt, received a goodly amount of votes for that position.

From what we discussed in class today (sense I didn't see this), most of my peers saw it like this from what I heard.

 

Less than a Handful thought Lucas was better.

 

The majority said Davis was better overall.

 

Most said Lucas looked disoriented.

 

Less than half said they would rather see other potential candidates besides Lucas and Davis.

There was another debate at the KET building last night. Anyone see it? The paper said it was less personal and more about issues. Their final debate is in Huntington on Nov 4.
