At this time, no doubt they wouldn't survive past the 1st weekend. However just like last year after losing 3 of 4 games and 2 blowout losses in that span. People said that team wouldn't make it past the 1st weekend. It seems like people always are quick to make a judgement, and forget teams get better. Especially young teams, because every game they learn something new. I am honestly very excited about their chances to make a run, because I do see a team who keeps showing more and more flashes every game. I think come March they will be much more consistent.

This team is very flawed, it isn't last year's team, and while I'm sure they'll improve, they are still likely not to be a Top 4 seed, which means they'll be in a dark jersey playing a better seeded team on Saturday or Sunday. Tourney is all about match-ups, so all of this talk is complete speculation, but I think there are a lot of potential 3 and 4 seeds that UK will have a tough time matching up with on the 1st weekend.

It’s the lack of effort on defense and rebounding that’s going to do this team in. You can’t teach effort. The players have to want to do that themselves. Little things add up to big things, for every rebound they miss the other team gets another chance instead of us

I do think this team will be lucky to get out of the 1st weekend. They may, based on that 2nd round match-up and potential 1st round upset, but I also think a lot of their likely 2nd round opponents can beat them.

Regardless, I think West Virginia wins by 8-10 on Saturday.

I think you pay way too much attention to Joe Lunardi. It's still January and that clown will change his pairings about a million times over the next 6 weeks.

With that said I think they is going to be a harsh game. This young of a team in a true road game in that environement, while they are still learning. Not good lol. Good thing come tournament time, with how UK fans travel. Its more similar to a home game than a road game.

This is not last year's team. There is no one the caliber of Monk or Fox. There are at least 5 more losses to come before the tournament. I'd wager that this team is as likely to implode and miss the tournament as they do to make it past the first weekend.
