I have so many things going on I don't like to spend a whole weekend on any one thing.

 

I am thinking about sneaking down to KY Speedway one night, probably for Xfinity or Trucks, and then zipping back home. I am only interested in the race. Sorta like going to a Bengals game, I am only interested in the game and not really the tailgating or other hoopla.

 

At Sparta, I think I would choose trucks over Xfinity. Just my opinion.

Daytona is the Super Bowl of NASCAR!

Eldora is the Daytona of dirt racing, much like Talladega the camping for World/Dream weekend can be an event in itself.

 

I went to 53 dirt races this past summer, as I help a friend with his car. I wouldn't trade a $30 dirt race ticket, for a Nascar ticket any day of the week.

Even though I grew up in a town that hosts two NASCAR races every year, I've never been able to get into the sport. Much of my family back home, are huge fans, but I just can't watch more than a few minutes of it at time. About 15 years ago, at a former job, there were a bunch of NASCAR fans, and they talked me into playing in a NASCAR fantasy league. Despite not watching much at all, I'm did keep up with the drivers and what was going on, and somehow managed to win the league.
