Roquan Smith is a bad man!

Georgia always seems to have guys just like Roquan Smith. Linebackers that look like safeties, usually wear small numbers, and absolutely demolish ball carriers all game long. He's fun to watch.

Mayfield deserved the Heisman, but he also showed why he has question marks at the next level. In the second half and OT, OU put up one TD, including stalling after having the ball with 55 seconds and three timeouts in regulation (that’s like having four minutes in the NFL), and only picked up one first down in OT (off a penalty). He was visibly rattled and the speed got to him. Yes, some of the play calling was horrendous. I hate more than any play jet sweeps... getting the ball east/west is counter-intuitive to anything football is supposed to be about.

Kudos to Fromm for being as composed as he was. Roquan Smith is a bad man!

UGA just has too much speed for the jet sweep to work.
OU got the kiss of death when Corso put the schooner on his head in pre game. Scary thing is that it only took Smart 2 years to get Georgia to a championship game.

It's not like he inherited a bad team. He came in with a team that was top 20 regardless and likely top 10 with most coaches. Also he got a solid freshmen QB which really helps.

I'm not trying to undermine Smarts coaching ability but it's not like he turned water into whine down in Georgia.

I was really shocked about how successful Georgia's d-line was against that OU offensive line.

He did inherit a very good squad. Still think its scary that they are playing for a title in year 2 considering they haven't played for a title in 35 years

A lot of luck is involved in playing out a full season. Heck they could have so easily lost to Notre Dame and been out of the playoff picture after the Auburn loss.

Absolutely luck plays a role (schedule, injuries, a good bounce, a tipped ball, etc) Still, its amazing how much luckier you are when preparation meets opportunity.

Roquan Smith WOW! Text book on how a LB can make the difference. Clinic!! Great game easily best in the bowl season. I am a big tide fan but really enjoyed this game!!!
