Lincoln Co vs. Montgomery CO.

Do you mean to say "AS YOOUU UNDERSTAND IT" no recognition is given to the team who finishes the regular season district with the best record?

Home field advantage for the 1st two rounds of the playoffs is all that is earned with a #1 seed.

I've said it before, but I don't think seeding will matter much once the playoffs start for this district.

What about the pride and respect from peers of winning the regular season? That would be quite an accomplishment.

I wouldn't get too caught up in being the number one seed or celebrating too long in that regard or one might be on the outside looking in at the playoffs after the first game.

I agree with Son of Bear. Other than getting home-field advantage, seeding won't matter too much in this district. The top four teams are going to be fairly evenly matched. Whether Lincoln is a #1 seed (and plays #4) or is a #2 seed (and plays #3), they will have their work cut out for them.

Lincoln County has won seven district championships, the last one was 12 years ago in 1994. I understand the LC fans' desire to be on top but the rules have changed and it will take two playoff wins to claim that title.

12 years, WOW, seems like forever ago, lets get through the final 2 regular season games. Then lets talk 2 playoff wins and a district title.

District champions: 1994, 1993, 1991, 1990, 1988, 1981, 1979

It has been 6 years since a playoff appearance. Before that LC appeared in the playoffs 15 out of 21 seasons.:

1979

1981

1982

1987

1988

1990

1991

1992

1993

1995

1997

1998

1999

Should be a good one, I say Lincoln by a TD.

LC is clicking on all cylinders, and even though the Indians are playing well they will not pull off the upset.

LC 35

MC 14

Its been awfully quite this year without The Sultan, what happened to him?

To stop the Veer, everybody knows you got to get down that line and make a play. I'm sure coach Dan Gooch knows how to stop this Quick hitter so being at home with the fire works and home stand, Mont Co, will get the win in a close one 28 -27.

I dont think Lincolns D will give up 4 TDs to Montgomery Co. Going to be a good High School football game.

I know you are right, Lincolns D holds up pretty good. But I've seen both teams play, and Montgomery Co O, will take 4 TDs and win this game in a close one. :thumb: but they must stop the Veer, and Lincoln Co, runs the veer better then anybody in the state. They are very quick.

This will be a pretty close game because it is being played at Montgomery Co. Otherwise, I would have said Lincoln by 3-4 touchdowns.

Lincoln 34

Montgomery 20

It`s more likely Lincolns "D" will put 4 scores on MC`s "O"":D
