Are we sure Lincoln is as good or improved as people like to say?

If gchs uk9 would look at Lincolns schedule, they have played or played teams with similiar records as Montgomery County.

Montgomery lost their first two games while on the 3 yard line when time ran out. Even though there is no excuse for losing a ballgame, the coaching staff has done a great job this year.

You make an excellent point. However, Montgomery has lost four games and Lincoln has only lost one. If their schedule's are comparable (as you said earlier), then Lincoln has to be considered the better team.

Too appease you, pittswann, let's look at Lincoln's schedule:

Lincoln has defeated:

-Garrard County (2-6)

-Rockcastle County (7-1)

-Whitley County (1-7; district game)

-South Laurel (3-6; district game)

-McCreary Central (3-5; a bad scheduled game today, wasn't a bad move two years ago when contract was signed)

-Clark County (4-4)

Lincoln lost to:

-Pleasure Ridge Park (5-3)

I'm no fan of combined records and schedules, etc., but to clear up everything:

Montgomery County

Overall Record: 4-4

Opponents Record: 32-37 (.464 winning percentage)

Lincoln County

Overall Record: 7-1

Opponents Record: 25-32 (.439 winning percentage)

The numbers are rougly the same. The schedule is very similar. Lincoln County has won seven games and Montgomery County has won four. I think I made numerous points to back up my statement...Lincoln is the better team. We'll see tonight.

Again: Lincoln County 42, Montgomery County 16

Give Lincoln credit for playing Rock and PRP. Coming into the year not too many people expected either team (Lincoln & Montgomery) to be in serious contention for the #1 seed in the district. That being said, their schedules for this year were par with how they have performed the past couple seasons.

*I hope Lincoln wins this game for the simple fact that a Montgomery win means they are the #1 seed in the playoffs.:fire:

I am sure along with many others that Lincoln is as good and improved, ask the 7 teams they have beat!!!!!

Are we sure Montgomery County is as good or improved as many people like to say?

Remember, they lost to:

-Jeffersontown (2-7)

-Mason County (6-2, but not as good as normal)

-Harrison County (5-3, but not as good as normal)

-Clark County (4-4, but not as good as normal)

They also defeated:

-Madison Central (5-3, but not nearly as good as they usually are)

-Whitley County (1-7)

-North Laurel (3-5)

-South Laurel (3-6)

They have defeated three bad teams and knocked off a decent Central team that pales in comparison to the last few years in Richmond. They lost to one terrible team and three teams that aren't nearly what they have been in the last couple of years. While yes, Montgomery has improved, they aren't nearly at the level of Lincoln County.

Lincoln County 42, Montgomery County 16

Unless Lincoln wins the 2nd half 28-0, bad prediction.
