There is a guy on Twitter who Scouts and rates Ohio High School players (Mark Porter). He is a no cost to players and makes his $ off of the Schools using his services. He is a big proponent of skipping events like this, because you are most likely in the worst shape of the year and with the Laser timing for the 40, you most likely won't get the results you want to send to coaches.

 

Found the ratings for 13 KY players from last years combine. Fastest 40's barely broke 5.0, with >84% running slower than 5 flat. With a National event like this there is a great opportunity for exposure and comparison, but you need to train prior.

247 Sports announced an "All-Combine" Team, selected from over 800 participants. I have had the "opportunity" to see Mr Tisdale 4 times in the last 2 years. A true talent. Hope he goes far; not really looking forward to seeing him next year, but he and purple nation will be coming to Owensboro 4th game of the season (for OHS), welcome.:sarcastic:

Are you sure? The Tail back you had last year that went to Navy wasn't a slouch.

Not sure what your asking. Yes, our running back from a couple of seasons ago, Jamale Carothers, is all-time leading scorer at BGHS. Little Vito will play wherever Coach Wallace puts him in high school but will be recruited in college for defensive cornerback and return specialist. He will be Purples top recruit unless injury comes his way.

I thought you were saying he was the top recruit to ever come out of Bowling Green. Not taking anything away from Tisdale, but Carothers was something else IMO.

I am saying Tisdale will be a higher recruit than Caruthers. He already is as a sophomore.

Why would he waisted? If he is better he will play. I think to many people want to hope and wish. Kids have to go work for playing time. That’s the part of the problem people think they are entitled to playing time and winning state championships. the best kids will play where they are needed.

So who should have been the QB the last few years that was not? I will give you that Cramer certainly looked the part this year compared to Schoellman, but you want to try and say that he should have played before Gosney as well? Not sure I am buying that one as Gosney was not the issue that year.

Between these and the Nike regional combines you really can hurt yourself more than help not to mention there is no college coaches permitted at these events in nearly all of the cases. Best advice is to be selective at choosing college camp, train your hardest, and go compete, standout at those camps where you can be seen by college coaches. Prepare for times with a laser! Good, bad or indifferent, SPEED is a big attention grabber!!

I do believe that Cramer should have started this year for sure, and had more opportunities at bare minimum the year before.

That season wouldve been a good one to put Cramer in there to gain experience. He was 6'2 170lbs at the time and slinging the rock at the JV level. Why not move Brady to defense and let Grady get experience. He wouldve come into this past season virtually a veteran. I can tell you this they wouldve won just as many games with Cramer back there.
