Kinda thought Covington Catholic might run out of gas. Not a tougher back-to-back in Kentucky than Ballard-Fern Creek.

The Colonels will be ready, but AJ means a lot on the court not just for his skill set(he is coming along from football way quicker than I thought he would), but he is also the emotional leader. I for one think Cooper is the favorite in the first of 3 battles this year.

Correct, and Cooper stayed down there. Tonight's game will mean a great deal to Cooper, can CovCath respond to the disappointment of not playing for the title?

 

Why would it mean a great deal to cooper but not Covcath? Why would Covcath be more disappointed about not playing for the title than Cooper? They both lost in the semi finals. Plus Cooper is the defending 9th region champs by beating Covcath pretty handily in the 9th finals. I would think this game is just as important to the Covcath players if not more.

Cooper lost two key players, and while they expect to be great long-term this year, they knew there was going to be a process to get there. Different December expectations.

 

CovCath has been pointing to this year, and most assuredly were heading into the KOB expecting to win it.

I agree with you 100%. That being said, I also went to the school of "Anything can happen come March", especially in a one-and-done format.
