If she had 30+ rebounds then I am the next President of the United States. I don't doubt the points but the rebound stat has to be bogus!

The CJ did an article in today’s paper on her and stated the stats as listed in this thread.

That is fine but I find it incredibly hard to believe. Campbell County had 23 rebounds last night against Male......as a team. Butler is averaging 33 rebounds a game.......as a team.

I am not questioning the player's ability but merely questioning how she could possibly have 30+ rebounds in a regulation game. The points of 30+ sure. Rebounds? Okay.

The CJ would have done the story with stats provided from scorekeeper and coaches.

Sure, I would think the CJ would require such information and not just go on someone's word about it.

Did both teams shoot super low percentages? Lots op opportunities?

Per the KHSAA stats, Fern Creek was 24-77 from the field, 13-24 from the foul line. That's 64 potential rebounds on the defensive end alone. CAL doesn't have stats post

Okay, not to be a contrarian but 77 shots in a high school girls basketball game appears to be insanely inflated as well! 77 shots in a regulation game? Butler had 53 shots in its win over Bullitt East earlier this week where it scored 65 points.

I was there on Monday... Lots of 'bricks' thrown up and CAL blocked out at all positions and allowed Shelbi to go in and get most of the rebounds. Fern Creek only had one true post player to challenge.

So you feel this was set up to let her get this?

Possibly.. but honestly feel that CAL's success relies heavily on Shelbi rebounding and scoring. At some points during the game, it resembled Moses parting the Red Sea with Shelbi sprinting in to grab the ball. Part of the 'gameplan' but not necessarily set up for specifically this game.
