December 7, 20178 yr That's right! I was introduced to it, and very moved by it in the 1971 cult favorite Harold and Maude. Just this past summer it found new life being repeated time and again in a TV commercial for something that I have since forgotten what for. As an aside, Cat Stevens is one of my favorite artists ever.

Good taste you have, and I can just bet there's a cool peaceful depth to you for him to be one of your favorites ever. My oldest sister first introduced him to me in the early 70's with "Moonshadow", and then when our church got cool and went a little modern at times they allowed us to mix "Morning Has Broken" into our hymns every once in a while. This tune from "Harold and Maude" will literally make me get real emotional and choke up when hearing it along side of watching the movie. Bizarre thing is that it's only been within the last year that I realized that Cat Stevens had written the Rod Stewart tune "The First Cut Is The Deepest". That was one of the first 45's that I ever bought when I was about 12, and while his name was surely on it in the credits, I doubt if I was looking too closely at stuff like that then.

"their lives" (not "there lives") - I hate when I overlook such mistakes. :banghead:
