lol...good point, its sad from a professional career standpoint. Everything else is great for Couch! Hes financially set for life!

Couch at times looked like he could play, and I wish someone would give another chance. But he definately doesn't even belong in the discussion of all-time biggest busts.

With the current state of backup quarterbacks in the NFL Couch would get another shot--if he were just healthy. His arm has been messed up since late 2002 and he had to have another surgery on it this year. This last surgery should be healed by next summer and we'll probably see than if he's got enough arm strength to give it another go.

I think Couch would have had a great career if he was playing for anyone except the Browns. It is hard to throw completions when youare lying on your back 90% of the time. He was a product of a poor team and a horrible offensiive scheme thatdid not fit his style of play.

Leaf & Bosworth were bigger flops than Couch. Also include Crouch, I think that was his name.

I think GT is the biggest bust of all time. Have you seen his fantasy team? Have you seen his hair?

He is not the biggest bust ever but his name should come up in the discussion. Bosworth and Mandarich were bigger busts.

You've also got Tony Mandarich, Cade McNown, Charles Rogers, Andre Ware, Rashaan Salaam, Curtis Enis, Drew Henson all first round draft picks that were worse. As far as overall number ones go Ki-Jana Carter, Steve Emtman, and Kenneth Sims were all worse, heck Couch wasn't even the biggest number one overall pick for his frachise--Courtney Brown has been a huge flop. Some of the above players were injured some were just bad but Couch is far from the biggest bust ever.

I really don't think so, it just doesn't seem like anything he's tried has helped his arm. However, I haven't heard how his rehab from this last surgery has went. If he gets his arm strength back and wants to play its almost a lock that someone will pick him up. If you look at his stats they were not all that bad, especially considering the talent level around him. He did manage to lead them to the playoffs in 2002 something no one else has come close to doing with that bunch.

Courtney Brown was a bigger bust than Couch. Remember Couch led the Browns to their only playoff appearance since retuning to the NFL.

I see that you're new so I guess they'll let it slide, but this is brought up atleast once a month and it's clear that he's nowhere near the biggest NFL bust of all-time. Ryan Leaf is my choice. Couch on the other hand had decent seasons when he played he was just put in a terrible situation. He had no offensive line to protect him, and at that time he had no real WR's to throw too.

I feel he can play if he is healthy. I just do not know if it his wish to do so. He is not in the press much these days so you really don't get a feel for where he is at as far as playing again. With his surgery and his attempt to re-hab you would think he wants to play again. I personally hope he does play.
