December 6, 20178 yr Author There is still some difference in the modeling data. The GFS has about a dusting to 1 inch of snow mainly north of I-64 by Saturday night. The NAM is a little stronger with the snow with 1-3 inches mainly from around Louisville to the Cincinnati/NKY area. 1-2" mainly east of I-65 with upwards to around 3" in parts of southeast Kentucky. I will give an update in the morning. I want to see some more model runs before I start giving my offical calls for snow.

Even as far east as the Ashland area? Our local weather isn't calling for anything other than a few snow showers, but I trust you more than I do our local guys.

For now, I'm seeing maybe an inch in the Ashland area. Please remember this is not an official call for snow accumulations yet. This just what the NAM weather model is showing this afternoon.
December 8, 20178 yr Author This is my first call for possible light snow on Saturday. Looks like it won't amount to much but travel headaches on the roads. Very light accumulations are expected. Dusting to 1/2 mainly from around the I-64 corridor northward. I will update later this evening and in the morning.
December 9, 20178 yr Author Good morning everyone. I"m going to up my total just a bit from last night. The snow looks to be scattered with pockets that may produce more accumulations totals. As of this morning. In my second call for snow accumulations, I'm seeing around an inch in the Lexington and around Jackson. Northern Kentucky to around Maysville about 1/2 inch. I'm seeing 1/2 inch also in the Somerset area. Most of the other parts of Kentucky will see only a dusting. This all should take place mainly east of I-65 with the heaviest possible accumulations being around the I-75 corridor. Check back for updates.

December 10, 20178 yr How's the weather now in Maysville? We did end up with a dusting yesterday right about the time you posted. Took people by surprise because it was the normal sunny day up until then, Sunday was back to the 21 st day in a row of bright sunshine. Has to be some kind of a record.
