WOW!!! ... Glad to see JC received a first place vote even though they have been taking a verbal bashing over their weak schedule.

Well, the shoe fits ...

It would be interesting to know where that first-place vote came from.

Talk about the weak schedule all you want they are a tough team.

I guess we will see what they are really made up of against the Tomcats.

Lou. Holy Cross has some football players, but how many games can they lose before they quit recieving votes.

How many games have they lost this year?

No one denies that Johnson Central is a good team, a legitimate top-10 team in 3A. How tough they are has yet to be determined, however, because their schedule is so soft.

The amazing thing is that Fulton City got more votes than Holy Cross .. yikes.

Of course, given the AP poll's history, it isn't all that amazing. ;)

You won't find a disagreement with me there ... but I don't think I have ever seen a top team receive so much negativity when it comes to a schedule.

A schedule that was signed two years ago when many of the teams on the schedule were much stronger than they are now and Central was much weaker than what they are now.

When was the last time a "top team" played such a soft schedule?

The Massey Ratings have Johnson Central's schedule as #41 (out of 53 teams) in 3A. It's rated lower than half of the 2A teams. It wouldn't even be one of the 10 toughest schedules in Class A.

Maybe so. But it seems like some Johnson Central fans insist on griping about the schedule complaints anyway ... when the evidence clearly indicates the assessment of the schedule is justified.

I think they have lost to B-town,Bethlehem and Green.

I totally agree they have a very soft schedule ... I just wish that some people would give them some credit for totally destroying every team they have played this season. Instead, people like to think that any decent team in the state would be able to beat these teams the way JC has.

I don't care how weak you think their schedule is it's hard to beat teams 49-7 every Friday espically when the J.V. team plays the second half.

I would bump Cov. Cath. up above Lex. Cath. and JC, in my oppinion due to their tough schedule along with some closely played games to big teams.

I don't think anyone is on here disparaging Johnson Central's team. They're questioning exactly how good they actually are because they haven't played anyone very notable, and wondering (with some justification) how they will fare when they finally run into a good team.

And it isn't like anyone forced this schedule on Johnson Central ... I know they've had some trouble with a game or two over the past two years, but this is largely the schedule they chose to play.

Could it have come from the Ashland Daily? lol
