Serious Question for UofL fans

Featured Replies

BCS Rankings is what they go buy. If Texas ends up second they shouldn't play against the Buckeyes. The Cards are 3rd and undefeated they should play OSU. The same for Michigan if they beat OSU. 1966 we finished 3rd behind nd and Michigan. We were 10-0 and beat number 4 Nebraska in the Orange bowl. Both nd and MSU finished 9-0-1.

With the Cards losing their running back and Quarterback and to finish undefeated says a lot for their team. Imagine if the Buckeyes lost those type of players or any team for that matter. The Mountaineer game should be one of the biggest in the history of the Cards program. The next few weeks are going to be fun and I hope they do well. Bama has won 12 National Championships and believe me each one is precious.

Against that high powered no 1 ranked offense in the nation.....???? Im a Michigan fan, but I would have to think that the UL offfense would be the talk of the town..... How is Michigan going to stop the UL O..? We know they are strong against the run and rightfully acknowledged, however, have they seen the likes of a UL offense this year????

This is so much speculation....... but its fun and it could come to be factual...

The Wolverine front 7 would make Brohm's night a nightmare......UofL has no one that could stay with Super Mario either.....Michigan would be a 7 point favorite IMO.

So if OSU, Florida and Lousiville are all undefeated at the end of the season.. who gets in?

OSU and FLA for sure due to their higher rankings all year.... UL would possible play in the sugar vs. another sec team for #3 in the country... or against Mich. in the rose........

Yes Alabama Larry, they don't give em away.!!!!!! UL has a tough road to hold as does everybody else....... Just Win...... If one can be realistic at this point, I woud say that if UL goes undefeated, they will not be in the NC if there are two other teams in the same position such as, Mich, OSU, FLA, USC .....

157, after your 200 plus posts you and I finally agree. And thats probaby the last time. Just kidding man. 1st Samual 16:7

How is Michigan going to stop the UL O..?

They don't have to... a broken leg and a bad thumb already have slowed them down.

It's a shame Bush had to go down, who knows what kind of season he could have had.

It's slowed them down so much that their still #1 in the nation in offense?

Just went through the rankings and it looks like the list of contenders for the title is continuously getting smaller and smaller.....

Contenders

tO$U

Michigan

Texas

Missouri

Auburn

Florida

Tennessee

West Virginia

Louisville

California

USC

Notre Dame.......

Boise State is the stars align correctly.

#1 Florida vs. #2 Michigan

#3 Louisville vs. #4 Ohio State

#1 Florida vs. #2 Michigan

#3 Louisville vs. #4 Ohio State

Not a chance Florida goes through the SEC unbeaten. A better, but still slim chance Michigan beats Ohio State.

On post #40 - I think you can narrow the list of contenders for the NC further by eliminating all of the one loss teams..... Like ND.... They were humiliated against Michigan, they do not deserve any consideration in the NC picture. Its quite simple. Go undefeated, play a very difficult schedule, and be part of a major conference..... ND does not meet that criteria this year.... If you lose your out...... This goes for all the teams in post # 40...

Hard to eliminate all the one loss teams, when it this point you never know how many undefeateds there's going to be... Could be 3, 2, 1, or maybe even none... The season still has a little while to go.

I think after Auburn went undefeated a few years ago and didn't get in the N.C. game, they will be more adamant about putting the two unbeatens in the N.C. game. I think it also depends on how UL finishes the season...If they win out, and win those games convicingly, I dont really see how a one loss squad should jump them...Call me a homer if you want, but I just feel like if there are two (and only two) BCS schools undefeated at the end of the season, they should be in the N.C. game...I felt the same back when Auburn got the shaft.

Auburn got the shaft on a year when they, USC, and Oklahoma were all undefeated.
