Highlands is better than what a lot of people think. They are competitive with anyone not named CovCath in 5A. While Oldham County might be the Colonels they are not the correct Colonels.

I know everyone is banged up this time of year, but hopefully the Birds have healed up some these last two weeks. I believe I saw 6-7 soph starting/playing on D at one time during the Greenwood game a couple of weeks ago and it looked like we had 15 guys out last Friday during the Boone Cty game. Everyone is still banged up and trying to get healthy for the playoffs.

 

IMO, HHS is still a year away from making a deeper run but it's hard to go into Highlands and get a win during playoff time. I like the Birds in this one if we can get some guys back on the field this week.

Going to go to this game. Should be fun to watch. My head says the Birds will win but my heart is with Coach Fox and the Colonels.

Wife and I were there about 3 years ago and can't remember the name of the restaurant/pub that is close to the stadium that has a good fish sandwich. Anyone?

Important to note, OC has lost four games by 7-7-10-2...an average loss per game of 6.5 points. South Oldham is OC's worse loss @10pts. South's other 9 games have resulted in 399 pts, averaging 45 ppg. OC held them to 16. Similar story when Collins played at OC.

 

My point, OC has kept every loss tight while the new offense has tried to figure itself out. They seem to be clicking now.

Birds look to have most players back this week. Get healthy for playoffs.

Going with HHS on this one. I don't see the passing game working that well against this secondary. They cover well, and have a good amount of picks. Add to it, the whole secondary that has been out a few weeks will be back in action. I'm calling 3 INTs for the defense. Schwalbach and Wilson will have a combined 220 in this one.

I am hearing that there may be some lineup changes for the Birds? Anyone got something on that? Could be buzz surrounding kids coming back from injury I do not know.

For OC I see 100+ team rushing (65 for Jones & 45 for Calderon) , 178 yards passing to 5 different receivers (Ratliff, Samples, Young, Moore & Deckard). Close game, 21-17, OC wins on a pick 6
