Ludlow is one of my favorite places to watch a game. The hall of fame they have is neat to walk through if you get a chance. I'm taking the hosts. 14-7 in a slug fest.

 

That seems low scoring for a Ludlow squad averaging 41 points and allowing 29.

Holy Cross played its best football against a pretty decent 5A squad in Bullitt Central, against Paris and Kentucky Country Day. And it played some of its weakest games against Frankfort and Providence, Indiana.

 

When they play well, they either run the ball consistently using RB Mario Convenuto or get their fair share of passing yards and success with a scrambling Jaren McDonald. McDonald hasn't put been needed much lately as the run game's been very effective...he had his best game against KCD which stuffed the Cougar's ground attack.

 

Holy Cross is a little in and out in terms of it's overall record the season....some big time performances and some inexplicable disappointments. I think that home field advantage has meant a lot to the Cougars. On the road in the environment at Ludlow, I think it'll be a good game, but Ludlow holds the advantage.

Absolutely, Ludlow was able to score tons of points against terrible teams. A more apt comparison look at their game against Bracken Co. which they won 27-24. Also if you look at Holy Cross' numbers like the 16-11 win over Paris it seems plausible. Throw in some playoff nerves and conservative playcalling in the hopes of avoiding mistakes. I think it can happen.

No better place to watch a football than down on the river in Ludlow. Blackburn and Stratton will be too much for Holy Cross. Go Panther!

Hmmmm I wouldn't call top 10 Williamsbug a terrible team. That game was at Ludlow too and you seen how that ended up for Williamsburg.

I think this could definitely go either way but I’m going to go with Ludlow being at home. I’ll say Ludlow by a touchdown in a high scoring game.
