October 20, 20178 yr Only two:stop:... I've been playing 30 years (since I was 17) and have never had one. And I spent a good many of those years as a single digit handicap, and I can still roll out of bed a shoot in the low 80's. I'm just of the belief it's never going to happen. I did hole my second shot on a par 5 once. However my first shot went in the water, so it technically was only an Eagle. Never had an official one in 48 years. I had one on a 38 yard hole on a really short exective course in Sarasota. I was by myself so it isn't official. The ball never got off the ground either. I topped it.
October 20, 20178 yr @Oldercoach, if your ears were burning yesterday about 3:30 in the PM, it was me. Was playing in an outing yesterday, a Par 3, 168 yards, downhill, playing 147 yards, I hit 9 iron to 4" -- and then proceeded to talk about a guy I don't know's ace at a hole I love in Maysville for 15 minutes. I've been playing 25 years, have been single digit the last few years, and have never had one. Yesterday was my 2nd closest -- the first was Highland CC #2 (I think that is the hole), I hit it to 2". Maybe one day....
October 20, 20178 yr Congratulations. They’re rare. I’m 63, have been playing golf for 35 years, and have had only two. I've had a bunch. Won a lot of free games too, especially when hitting the ball into the clown's nose.
October 21, 20178 yr What a wonderful day for golf. Fortunate to ace #15 at Maysville CC. 138 yards into the wind with a flushed six horn. Even saw it hit 10 feet short of the hole and gently role in. Been 34 years since my previous and 43 years since my first. Since I average about 75 rounds per year, there are obviously thousands and thousands of bad shots in search of the perfect one. Somehow it found me! This is awesome and congrats. Prior to my Dad passing he had 2 in the same round. I have the certificates and witnessed accounts. Which of course means I'm never to enjoy one of my own! Continued success and keep swingin'...

Which of course means I'm never to enjoy one of my own! Continued success and keep swingin'... A local guy in Booneville had two in the same round at Beattyville Country Club when he was 18 years old in 1999. Most people go a lifetime without that happening, much less doing it twice in the same round.

He attributed both hole-in-ones to the many rounds of golf under moonlight with his USMC buds on the best courses throughout the Carolinas back in the day. Amazing what a few marine golfers can accomplish un-noticed in the wee hours after dark. He was runoff the Harbor Towne course in HH by a water moccasin during a daylight round and had to pay a caddy top $$$ to retrieve his clubs which were thrown at said snake! :lol2: HE HAD PLAYED A LOT OF GOLF before that great round. The numbers finally caught up to him. :thumb:
