October 16, 20179 yr Funny you started this because I was about to start the same thread. I love Joe Buck, though I know many despise him. He also is a huge Howard Stern fan and recently has appeared twice on his show, so that jades my viewpoint.
October 16, 20179 yr Author Funny you started this because I was about to start the same thread. I love Joe Buck, though I know many despise him. He also is a huge Howard Stern fan and recently has appeared twice on his show, so that jades my viewpoint. I love him too, but it seems to me that we might be in the minority but I don't understand why.
October 16, 20179 yr I love him too, but it seems to me that we might be in the minority but I don't understand why. I wasn't a huge fan then he did an interview with the Pardon My Take guys and seemed like a pretty good guy and kinda funny. Changed my tune a little bit on him.
October 16, 20179 yr I love him too, but it seems to me that we might be in the minority but I don't understand why. I hear people all the time say they hate him. I don’t get it at all. He’s one of the best in the business. In the Greater Cincinnati area, I am also shocked to hear so many people don’t like Collinsworth. I don’t get that either.
October 16, 20179 yr Absolutely love him. I am also a huge Howard fan so I am probably jaded like bugatti.
October 16, 20179 yr I also have a profound appreciation for talented people. The fact he and Jim Nantz (another person people love to hate) are so versatile in their craft, it is astonishing.
October 16, 20179 yr Author I hear people all the time say they hate him. I don’t get it at all. He’s one of the best in the business. In the Greater Cincinnati area, I am also shocked to hear so many people don’t like Collinsworth. I don’t get that either. Collinsworth is an easy explanation, he was not very kind towards the Bengals when he entered the broadcast booth. I got over it and really like Collinsworth but a lot of people haven't gotten over it.
October 16, 20179 yr Author I also have a profound appreciation for talented people. The fact he and Jim Nantz (another person people love to hate) are so versatile in their craft, it is astonishing. Jim Nantz is the pinnacle of sports broadcasting. His voice is synonymous with so many things. Think about it the Masters, Final Four, Super Bowl that guy goes hand in hand with each of those. Just phenomenal. Joe Buck is in that same category of extremely talented people.
October 16, 20179 yr Don't like Buck...don't like Nantz...and one that will put me in an extremely small minority, I'm sure, is...don't like Gus Johnson.
October 16, 20179 yr Author Don't like Buck...don't like Nantz...and one that will put me in an extremely small minority, I'm sure, is...don't like Gus Johnson. Blasphemy. All 3 are national treasures.
October 16, 20179 yr Blasphemy. All 3 are national treasures. :lol2: I can stand Nantz at the Masters, but only because they've got a half dozen other people talking as well. Did you listen to Johson do the Ohio State game this past weekend? The first TD (by Dobbins) was about as unenthusiastic as I've ever heard the guy. Then he goes nuts when Nebraska scores their first TD...and it's 35-0 at the time.
October 16, 20179 yr I loved his father. He is kind of a strange cat, but I like the one on one interviews, that is on a Direct Tv channel that I rarely watch. He almost died from getting hair plugs, true story.
