Conner High School Teacher & Coach Arrested for Sexual Abuse 1st involving a Student

Featured Replies

On Friday, October 13, 2017 at approximately 5:00 p.m. a Conner High School teacher was arrested for the inappropriate contact and texting (sexting) with one of his students, a 15 year old Junior after an investigation revealed the touching took place in an office on the Conner campus located at 3310 Cougar Path in Hebron, Kentucky between February and May of 2017.

Clinton Bell, 37, of Hebron, Kentucky is *charged with Sexual abuse 1st degree, a Class D felony & Unlawful use of electronic means originating or received within the Commonwealth to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities, a Class D felony.

Conner High School administrators cooperated fully with our investigation. Bell turned himself in to Detective Tracy Watson upon notification she had obtained a warrant for his arrest. Bell is being held in the Boone County Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 cash bond.

*Charges in a criminal complaint are accusations only. It is the government’s burden to prove the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt.

I will never understand this. And it's both men and women. Ugh

I believe he helps coach football also.

I thought I heard he was involved with wrestling.

According to the KHSAA the Head Wrestling Coach at Conner is:

And remember everyone, Mr. Bell is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

How often do you think this inappropriate "contact" goes on in schools?

I know he was on the Football staff at Conner for several years, not sure if he still was this year. He's been a wrestling assistant for 4 or 5 years, and took over last year after Coach Badida retired. He was formerly the wrestling coach at Brossart, and was the head coach at Scott for several years.

This is a big shocker, and he is very well known in the wrestling community here in NKY.

When will we quit being shocked by these kind of occurences?

These situations don’t shock me anymore. This one is shocking because I know the guy who’s involved.

I understand. I'm just to the point where I don't think we can really know anyone and their deepest and darkest secrets.

He's been around a while. A while back he was the OC at Bellevue I think. I also think he used to work for Kenton County in their alternative school.

He also was a teacher at Scott for a few years as well where he also mainly coached Wrestling. From what I remember, he had a few interesting quotes that he had made to students.

You are correct. But never did I hear anything like what he is accused of now. I hope it is not true.
