Final.

Great game between two great teams!

Wow sounded like a really good game. Congrats to Paintsville!!!

So, what did we learn?

1. These are two great defensive teams

2. There's no clear favorite in the East

Fantastic!

Congrats Tigers!

Great job Hazard!

Sound like this was everything you’d want from a high school football game...epic

Here is the updates thread. Worth the read. This would have been a great game to see.

Good game teams didnt show much. Hazard has 1 mistake and the receiver was suppose to run a slant but didn't and it was the pick six. I'd like to see the officials on the goal line stand not blow the whistle so fast when the pile is moving.

3. The door is open for Raceland to make a run at the state finals.

Paintsville is blocking their path in the doorway. Next Friday Raceland gets their chance to go through them.

Maybe I should have said "the door is ajar" instead of "open." We'll see if Raceland makes like Bum Phillips and kicks the door in!

Raceland's defense certainly belongs right up there with Paintsville and Hazard. That alone will keep them close to anyone they see from here on out. They'd potentially have to go through Paintsville twice, then either Hazard or a mystery Pikeville team. I don't think it's beyond their reach, though.

Congrats to Paintsville on the W.
