October 12, 20179 yr They are doing stuff to try and fix the issues, it just doesn't get talked about. What are the players doing?
October 12, 20179 yr What part of they're ok with that don't you understand? Its their money so they can do with it as they please. I support that right also. I also support anyone being again someone getting done wrong. I do not support the means they are going about it. But again thats their right.
October 12, 20179 yr "The fans are going to stop watching" no they aren't. What are you going to do watch soccer on the weekends now? People aren't just going to stop liking football. You might want to look in the stands and the $$ numbers.....
October 12, 20179 yr As an avid fantasy football guy this worries me. :lol2: Hey I am 3-2 in my league( first time I ever played). I actually like it. And my number 1 pick got hurt in the first game, plus Luck has yet to play so I am running on fumes.
October 12, 20179 yr What are the players doing? The are working with organizations in inner cities to address police relations and other issues that hinder the success of African Americans in this country.
October 12, 20179 yr You might want to look in the stands and the $$ numbers..... I'm in the stands. The stands are only empty in places where the teams are bad.
October 12, 20179 yr The are working with organizations in inner cities to address police relations and other issues that hinder the success of African Americans in this country. They were doing this before the kneeling. Give me something new that can help change things. Now I am going to go on record saying I dont know any policeman that wakes up saying I am going to kill someone today. But I also know it happens. And there are many reasons. I have a question for you Grant, why do you think the players are still protesting? And what reason now do they have after they have called all the worlds attention to this problem?
October 12, 20179 yr I am not worried about any of them. They are grown men making millions. Never did I say they are not smart, so I am confused why you would even say that. I just said lets see how much or long they kneel when it costs them something and like @lawildcat says, there are plenty that will step in. I dont watch anyway. Plus I support their right to kneel. I also support the owners right to bench or fire them as they are employees and actions have consequences. I agree with your last paragraph. But I don’t recall you agreeing with that stance when the circuit clerk in KY was in trouble with not issuing marriage licenses. :idunno:

October 12, 20179 yr I agree with your last paragraph. But I don’t recall you agreeing with that stance when the circuit clerk in KY was in trouble with not issuing marriage licenses. :idunno: I cannot support what the Bible calls a abomination. Didn't then, dont now. I have a back bone. In your profession you better be getting one.

We're just talking in circles now. You haven't asked me a question that I haven't already answered in this thread or another. You've already said you respect their right to protest, just not how they do it. Ill ask you this simple question that I've already asked to several people on here and they never give me an honest answer: would you be upset with the players say someone like Villanueva from the Steelers kneeling during the anthem to protest the promises that aren't being fulfilled to our veterans?

There is a controversial issues thread where you can discuss your views on stuff like this, I suggest you take them there before this thread gets shut down.
