Was Ashland missing a lot of players when they played Harlan County? Knox Central beat Harlan County badly and Harlan Co. beat Ashland pretty soundly as well.

 

I guess that Knox Central's loss to Danville keeps them from getting any Top 10 mentions, but that game was a lot more competitive than the score would indicate. Knox turned it over 7 times with 2 pick 6's and 2 scoop and scores, plus they were playing their first game without their best player and team leader.

 

I personally think the close results against Russell County and Letcher County Central would give more pause than their blowout loss to Danville.

Well...what did you find out? FS scrimmaged Western and won by a TD. It was a sloppy mess football wise for both teams however. Hard to judge anything from that.

 

My question is how do you beat that Meade County team one week then get run by Western the next unless Western is pretty dang good?

The people looking at Western must be just looking at their record and not the actual games. They did get blasted by both Male and Butler but Male and Butler are top 10 6A teams. They were up 12-0 on Central before giving up two TD in final 5 minutes to lose 13-12. They lost to Manual 7-6. That’s a 1pt loss to a top 5 3A team and a 1pt loss to a top 10 6A team.

I think Knox Central is a top 10 team as well.

District 3 and District 6 are Region 3. Western is in District 3, and Wayne County is in District 6. Crazy times are here.

Regions 1 and 4 are always Dist 1/2 and 7/8 but every five years they mix up 2 and 3.

 

Do that in basketball and everyone would lose their minds.

I think Knox Central needs to be on this list, maybe even ahead of several of these. Scott has also shown a little something this year. I'm very down on Mercer. I have no clue what to make of Madisonville. It is a very odd class.

You are right about Knox Central. They should be in there probably 7-8 but not above that.

 

Madisonville is a mystery. They clubbed Hoptown but the Tigers gave the Maroons 7 extra possessions. That'll get you whupped every night.
