Lamar Jackson, in a "decent" game, goes 30/46 for 378 yards and runs for another 107.

 

Penalties were a killer and key turnovers kept this thing way closer than it should have been. Two fumbles on the goal line nearly did me in.

Does anyone know the NCAA record for false start penalties? I counted nine on the Cards. Four on the tight ends alone.

With sixteen penalties and three turnovers with two at the one yardline, I will absolutely take it.

 

The amount of false starts is disgusting and absolutely unacceptable, even though Purdue was causing them to move. That junk has carried over from last year and cannot continue.

 

Hats off to Jeff Brohm and Purdue. That dude can coach and they outplayed Louisville tonight.

 

Louisville will lose the next two weeks if they play that bad.

My hope is that some of the false start stuff can be traced to having a freshman center and will work out a bit as they get things settled in.

Oline play (meaning protection) looked to be better. The false starts, I honestly don't know what the issue is there, but it has to be fixed.

 

Cards played pretty bad and probably should have lost, but didn't. It's not as bad as you guys want it to be.
