September 3, 20179 yr 3 and 1 turns into 3rd and 6 due to a false start penalty after going into (unnecessary) motion and then a 5 yard pass to create 4th down....such is the night. Like Getslow said - penalties and turnovers.
September 3, 20179 yr I think going for two points that early was dumb. Then they go for two again. Now look at the score. If Purdue gets a TD and extra point, a field goal only ties it for UL. UL gave away points by going for two points after their last two TD's. I would never go for two to get a tie until the last 5 minutes or so of a game. Here's the other thing. Field goal by Purdue, and UL only leads by 1 so another field goal is a loss.
