plantmanky
Should probably be 8 games to be honest. Crack Backed on a receiver while the ball was in the air, should have been flagged in the game.
TheDeuce
It was an unnecessary hit but it wasn't a dirty hit. How was it not dirty?
GrantNKY
Whoops... Fair enough. At least you are consistent.

TheDeuce
It's a legal hit. Unnecessary roughness on an unsuspecting player. He knew what he was doing. Dirty.
GrantNKY
Unnecessary roughness on an unsuspecting player. He knew what he was doing. Dirty. He hit him square, 1 yard down the field. Perfectly legal hit. It's on the FB for not turning his head. He didn't hit him in the head. Not dirty. Just aggressive play.

GrantNKY
Matter of opinion. Most hits don't cause suspensions. The NFL is simply dead wrong on this one. Everything he did was technically within the rules. Did he get dangerously close to the line? Yeah. But he didn't cross the line. It was a legal hit that has defined football for decades. Keep your head on a swivel.

Hellbird
It was completely bush league. I'm not sure it was suspension worthy and definitely not five game suspension worthy but it was bush league. How was it bush league? There was nothing dirty about it. He didn't run at a guy, the FB was coming into him and it's not Burficts fault if he didn't see Vontez. Vontez just hit him with his shoulder and there was no targeting or anything else with the hit. Again, there are much worse hits in EVERY game across the league and not a word is said. It is only because it's Burfict that they went seeking for an excuse to suspend him period. Hellbird
Matter of opinion. Most hits don't cause suspensions. 99% of the time this hit wouldn't cause a suspension but the only reason it did was who was involved. I garuntee you that if JJ Watt did the exact same thing it wouldn't even be mentioned. IF anything it would show up on JJ's highlight reel saying what a force he is etc. No other player in the league would have been suspended for that legal hit period.
