Would not second guess this coach. Did not see any reason from last year's performance to believe Deaton would/could out-perform this QB. Candidly, Deaton had a shotgun for an arm in baseball, but that skill does not always transfer to throwing a football. Lots of factors. In my case, my hand was too small to adequately grip the ball. In 60's we were throwing footballs shaped like long basketballs.

 

Deaton didn't play baseball...must have him confused with someone else.

On the QB situation I was shocked when Deaton wasn't named starting QB but with that said I'm intrigued to see how the QB does. Wasn't overly impressed vs Ludlow.

Color me shocked as well. Trey Deaton came with a lot of experience and had won a lot of games as a starter in his career. As I said above we have a very experienced coach who has been through these situations before.

I think Bracken wins this one, but it's much closer than some on here are predicting.

I just want to take a moment to apologize to Trey Deaton. I didn't that giving my opinion would cause you all the negative drama. As for the coach I definitely agree that he comes with a great resume but how may of those seasons he had a son on the team? Lastly if He thought his son was the better of the 2 why would he lead Deaton to think he was starting all summer?

This hurts PC if they're not playing in mud.

First they're cancelling schools over predicted snow that never comes and now football. I can understand baseball but football is a test for both teams in the elements. They practice in rain, as long as it's not lightning. Can't they at least wait till Friday morning to make this decision? The weathermen in this area haven't gotten anything right in summer or winter for years now

I agree with your earlier post that not playing in mud will hurt PC.

With it being @Bracken and it being a traditional rivalry game, Bracken will come out with more purpose for this game than the last. I think it will be a competitive game, but Bracken will pull away late and get the win.

Just out of curiosity why does not playing in the mud hurt PC? PC is the faster of the team and playing in the mud would slow them down. Don't get me wrong the fisher kid is a burner but from top to bottom PC is faster with overall team speed. Plus who want to run the option is wet muddy conditions.
