I think this outcome will be really simple...Boyle will be able to contain Danville's speed or they won't.

 

I think Waggner had as much team speed as Danville if not more. Vancleave is my biggest worry as Brent's was for Waggner and I think Boyle will limit his big plays enough to get the win, but I still think the QB position for Danville will be one of the biggest factors in this game and I believe the lack of experience at that position for Danville will be in Boyle's favor.

I will say this I think for Boyle, Danville is the best team they have played by far. I watched John Hardin and Waggener neither impressed me. I think that if Thornton get time to throw which I think he will and does not throw Interceptions Danville will win. I have not been overly impressed with Boyles offense but their ability to turn people over I am. I think it will be a great game none the less.

Since you've not been impressed with Boyle's offense I guess you've been impressed by Danville's even less since Danville is only averaging 247 YDS per game while Boyle's averaging 417 YDS per game against better competition.

Boyle vs John Hardin: JH QB Anthony Witherspoon was suppose to be "the best athlete on the field" Final Score Boyle 41-14.

Boyle vs Waggener: Jairus Brents is the fastest (4.3 speed) player Boyle will see all year. Final Score Boyle 54-19.

 

Boyle has shown beating 1 man teams comes pretty easy.....Danville is not a 1 man team. The Ads will have good speed spread on the field. Danville's speed will hurt Boyle, but the question is....can it beat Boyle?

 

For Boyle, the unspoken success so far is the trench play on both sides of the ball. No team yet has had success running between the tackles vs Boyle. On offense, Boyle is averaging 7.6 yards per carry on 85 rushing attempts. I find that stat very impressive.

 

In my opinion, Boyle wins by controlling the ball ground and pound style, limiting the Ads offensive snaps. Danville wins by getting speed 1 on 1 in green grass vs Boyle.

 

This could be a really good one, I will save my predictions for later in the week.

I think Waggener would probably be 0-2 or possibly 1-1 vs. Danville's schedule. They also lost 40-14 to LCA.

 

John Hardin is also 0-2 this season.

 

I wouldn't be at all shocked if Boyle gets the win Friday night, but don't discredit Danville...they are good. And also don't be surprised if Danville beats Boyle by going ground and pound with one of the best running backs in 2A.

I don't recall reading a post that said Danville dosen't have a chance. I have just gave my opinion on why aI think Boyle will win.

Wasn't the Boyle-Waggener game a 1 TD game headed to the 4th? Waggener fields only 22 players, albeit 2 of them are really good. I think I will pick Danville in a mild upset.

Hearsay Boyle led Waggner 41 to 14 at 1 point in the 3rd quarter heading into the 4th it was 41 to 19, and Waggner has more than two players that are really good if they had more depth they would be much better they have several really good athletes on their team but with only 26 players on their roster the lack of depth is hard to overcome.

Danville did put a running clock on Boyle in the first half and returns 90% of their team from last year. IMO if Boyle was to pull this game off, it would be a mild upset. Most everyone outside of the Titletown thinks Danville is the favorite as I do, but the favorite doesn't always win the game.

 

Boyle better bring their A game or they will get blown off the field 2 years in a row.

 

Nothing would surprise me Friday night in this game and If Boyle can win in the line of scrimmage IMO they win the game.

You're right it was 27 to 19 and at the end of the 3rd it was 41 to 19.
